Technology
Vision
Glantreo's Vision is to successfuly bridge the gap between new concepts and use in practice, leveraging our expertise to being licensed technologies or Intellectual Property to market realisation.
Under pressure to develop innovative products
and processes, industry is looking to harness the innovative capability
of academic originating technologies. This is coupled with the
willingness of Academic institutions to commercialize technologies
that they have developed and patented but have neither the desire
nor the competency to take these technologies to market. The opportunity
is to develop relationships with both ends of the supply chain,
understand what industry needs and match this against the innovative
research activity through licensing the relevant technologies
from one through us to the other.
Completed Projects
Examples of Glantreo's completed projects include:
Sub2SilaTechnology
The primary patented technology offered by Glantreo
is our Sub2Sila Technology. This is our proprietary
method for the production of uniform, porous, UPLC Grade, sub
2-micron silica spheres. The process is derived from research
into ordered mesoporous silica materials carried out by Prof.
M. Morris and his Dimensional Solids Research Group.
Sub2Sila Capabilities:
- High Yield - Sub2Sila gives a 100% yield of sub 2-mmicron monodispersed porous silica particles
- Cost Effective - With a 100% yield of sub 2 micron particles, there is no need for subsequent costly separation steps. Total synthesis time for the sub2sila process is only 6 days. And most important, the process results in a final product with no fines (>0.9µm).
- Simple & Easily Scalable - No complex reactor design or complex chemical reagents.
- Environmentally Friendly - No HF treatment to increase the porosity of the final product particles.
- Totally Flexible - The process can be tuned to produce particles from 0.8 to 3 µm, with pore sizes in the 2-30nm size range.
Pipeline
Upcoming projects in the Glantreo Pipeline include:
